About this role

The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, GIH, is Sweden's leading knowledge center for sports, performance development, physical activity, and health. We conduct high-quality and socially relevant research in the field of sports science, focusing on the human body in motion. We train teachers in the subject of physical education and health, as well as coaches, health scientists, sports managers, sports scientists, and researchers. At the Department of Physical Activity and Health, we engage in education, research, and collaboration in the fields of psychology and physical activity and health. Would you like to be part of a significant research project conducted in close collaboration with experts in dementia and aging? We are currently seeking a research assistant who wants to contribute to knowledge and development in research on Cognitive Motor Interference in Dementia "Continuum" (COMIDE). The project involves data collection from both healthy older individuals and patients at the memory clinic. In the role of research assistant, your main responsibilities will include contacting Swedish participants, administering surveys and motion sensors, collecting data, as well as managing and archiving collected data. You will work independently but under close supervision from the project leader and our collaborators at Karolinska Institutet. **Eligibility Requirements** To be eligible for employment as a research assistant, you must be a student admitted to a program, according to Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Act, at either the undergraduate or graduate level at a university or college. You who apply for this position must be able to present an admission notice to such a program on the start date. **Assessment Criteria** - Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position, such as good collaboration skills, attention to detail, responsibility, and humility. - Significant weight will be given to experience in similar work. - Experience in working with psychological survey data or IMU measurements will also be considered important. **Duration/Working Hours** The position is a fixed-term employment for one year. Start date will be as soon as possible by agreement. The employment rate corresponds to 20% of full-time. For research assistant positions, employment can be granted for a maximum of one year at a time, but no more than a total of three years.
