At the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at Sahlgrenska Academy, extensive research and teaching are conducted across broad areas of knowledge - from molecule to human. The activities comprise five sections: pharmacology, physiology, health and rehabilitation, clinical neuroscience, and psychiatry and neurochemistry. The Department of Neuroscience and Physiology is now seeking a teaching assistant positioned at the Section for Clinical Neuroscience. The "Clinical Brain Tumor Research" research group is based at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology and led by Asgeir Jakola. The group consists of doctoral students, clinical researchers, research nurses, a research assistant, and students. We work on issues related to brain tumor patients, primarily with clinically oriented studies. The group has several national and international collaborations. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a teaching assistant who can help with data collection and analysis in one of our clinical studies. Tasks include updating existing databases and processing radiological examinations according to instructions. You are expected to participate in research group meetings while working independently on assigned tasks. Qualifications Eligible for employment as a teaching assistant are those admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education. The total employment period for a teaching assistant may not exceed three years. For this position, enrollment in the medical program at Sahlgrenska Academy is required. Previous experience with research projects is meritorious. Applicants should be independent in their work approach, have good collaboration skills, and appreciate working in a research organization. We value collegiality, thoroughness, and strong communicative and administrative abilities. Personal suitability is given great importance. Employment This is a limited-term position for 12 months, 25% of full-time, with placement at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology. Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement.
