About this role
A clear focus on goals and genuine learning combined with a strong community. This is what characterizes the schools of the School Alliance.
Here, students and staff come together in a safe and engaging environment where each individual is given the opportunity to develop – both academically and socially.
We work purposefully to create the best possible conditions for learning, with a focus on safety in everyday life and a genuine commitment to each student's development.
Alnöitskolan is a school on an exciting journey of change, and we are now looking for you who want to help us become even better.
We have an ongoing development project where we, together with students, guardians, and staff, are developing our shared vision and direction. We aim to provide students with a high-quality, teacher-led education that prepares them for a constantly changing society. A crucial part of this transformation is teachers who combine subject expertise with good relationships and creative ideas. Thinking outside the box, yet within the framework of governing documents.
Alnöitskolan, formerly known as Kunskapsakademin, is located in beautiful Ankarsvik. We are a K-9 unit with approximately 215 students, where we have the opportunity to follow a student from preschool class all the way to grade 9. This is one of our greatest strengths, as we believe that a smaller, secure unit that minimizes transitions between school levels creates a solid foundation for learning.
We are now seeking certified teachers in several of our subjects. We are looking for certified teachers in the subjects of visual arts, home and consumer studies, crafts (textiles as well as wood and metal), modern languages (Spanish), physical education and health, and technology. The content of the position and the extent of the role will depend on subject qualifications and possibly other competencies. The positions will primarily focus on grades 6-9, but teaching in grade 3 and above may also be included depending on the subject.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is confident in your classroom and subjects, but also curious about development.
• Meets students where they are and approaches each student interaction with the belief that every child wants to succeed; our mission is to provide them with the best conditions for that.
• Has a low-arousal approach in interactions with students and strategies for how we can best respond when faced with challenges.
• Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in teams.
• Has a reflective approach and actively works to develop your and the school's teaching methods.
• Plans, documents, and implements your teaching with high quality.
• Possesses strong communication skills and strives to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
