We are now seeking someone to help develop the school's after-school program, with particular responsibility for younger students, as well as creative work and creation. We are looking for someone with a degree as a teacher in after-school programs or as a preschool teacher. Alnöitskolan, formerly known as Kunskapsakademin, is located in beautiful Ankarsvik. We are a K-9 unit with approximately 215 students, allowing us to follow a student from preschool class all the way through to grade 9. This is one of our greatest strengths, as we believe that a smaller, secure unit that minimizes transitions between school levels creates a solid foundation for learning. We have an after-school program with about 90 students, featuring spacious facilities and incredible surroundings, including our own gymnasium and adjacent forest with many opportunities for outdoor activities. We value outdoor education and will have a particular focus on sustainable development and health for the entire school. We are looking for someone who: - Is confident in their work in the after-school program and in their subject, but also has a desire to develop alongside the entire organization. - Meets students where they are and approaches each student interaction with the belief that every child wants to succeed; our mission is to provide them with the best conditions for that. - Has a low-arousal approach in interactions with students and strategies for how to best respond when faced with challenges. - Possesses good collaboration skills and enjoys working in teams. - Has a reflective approach and actively works to develop their own and the school's teaching methods. - Plans, documents, and implements their teaching in accordance with our guidelines. - Has strong communication skills and strives to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. The position will commence upon agreement, and based on your qualifications, teaching in art or other subjects may be included in the role. The position also includes responsibilities related to break activities and, to some extent, support in the classroom.
