Description
We are now seeking an engaged and responsible Alcohol Licensing Officer based in the administrative staff.
You will become part of a competent team of four employees who work together to ensure legally secure and efficient processing in accordance with current legislation (the Alcohol Act, Tobacco Act, and Tobacco-Free Nicotine Products Act).
In this role, you will work with handling and evaluating matters related to alcohol-related issues, which requires personal maturity and independence. You will be a crucial resource, so it is essential that you have a strong service orientation and good judgment.

Job Responsibilities
Your tasks will include investigating, proposing decisions, making decisions, and in some cases exercising supervision of restaurant serving permits and for closed societies based on the Alcohol Act. Public authority exercise and associated documentation is a significant part of the work, and during investigations, you will often have extensive contact with applicants and other authorities.
The investigations you are responsible for include reviewing the applicant's financial and personal suitability. You will participate in national and local networks with other administrators for experience exchange. Registration and supervision of sales according to the Tobacco Act may also be included.
The role also involves preventive work with advisory services, training, and collaboration with other authorities and restaurant owners. The work involves some evening and night shifts.
Qualifications
You have an academic degree in fields such as economics, law, or other equivalent education deemed appropriate for the profession, or have many years of experience in supervision and investigative work.
As a person, you are structured and comfortable making decisions. You communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. You have a good approach and a professional attitude in your public authority exercise while also being service-oriented, clear, and solution-focused. The work requires you to work independently as well as in collaboration with others. You can create engagement and work towards agreed goals and timelines.
We particularly welcome experience in public authority work.
