HVB Oliven is a treatment home for adult women and men aged 18 and above with substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. We offer a safe and structured environment focused on creating conditions for change, recovery, and a life without addiction. We are now seeking an engaged alcohol and drug therapist/counselor who wants to become part of our professional team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a counselor at HVB Oliven, you will be part of our treatment team and involved in planning, implementing, and following up on client treatment interventions.
Together with the team, you will be responsible for creating and driving group treatments and conducting individual counseling based on client needs and treatment plans. The work involves monitoring treatment processes, documentation, collaboration with external actors, and contributing to a safe and structured living environment.
You will play a central role in motivating and supporting clients in their change process and strengthening their ability to participate and take responsibility for their own journey. Part of the assignment includes being a contact person for one or more clients, which means following their development, coordinating interventions, and being a secure, supportive adult in their daily life.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a candidate with a degree in alcohol and drug therapy or other relevant education in treatment, social work, or healthcare. You should have at least three years of experience in group treatment and group processes, and a good understanding of co-occurring disorders and dependency conditions.

You are confident in your role, have good collaboration skills, and a respectful, low-affective approach. You enjoy working both independently and in a team, are flexible, and have a genuine desire to make a difference for people in vulnerable life situations.
