About this role

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better. **Addiction Unit** We aim to be an accessible and attractive service for individuals with addictions to alcohol, drugs, or gambling, as well as for relatives of those with addictions. Our visitors are offered counseling, assessment, and addiction treatment in the form of ADDIS, MI, relapse prevention, HAP, 12-step programs, CRA, and CRAFT, which are evidence-based methods recommended in national guidelines. The unit has a long tradition of providing treatment and support for relatives in group settings, as we believe this increases the potential for change. We also offer children's conversations where children receive information and support. We engage in outreach work by providing information and consultation to related authorities and healthcare providers. All staff within individual and family services are trained according to the Signs of Safety framework. This means we work to ensure that children, families, and networks are involved in how problems can be solved. We believe in individuals' own capabilities and conditions to take control of their future lives. Through the Signs of Safety approach and various tools, we can create better conditions for sustainable solutions for those we meet. **Your Responsibilities** As one of our addiction counselors will be absent for a period, you will be one of six individuals working closely together while also independently. You will conduct individual treatment sessions and lead various treatment groups. We value that everyone in the team feels a shared responsibility for the operation and our clients, and that we support each other in achieving this. You will thus play a crucial role in ensuring the logistics function smoothly so that we can provide the best possible treatment. Another central part of the job is to be involved in our development work with the ambition of offering evidence-based and high-quality treatment. **Who Are You?** We are looking for someone with a degree in social work; experience working with individuals with addictions is a requirement. You have knowledge of current social legislation and are well-acquainted with the various functions of society. Personal suitability is highly valued, and you should be able to be a close collaborator within the team. In addition to the requirements for knowledge and experience, we see that you are a confident, engaged, and responsible person who finds it easy to collaborate with others and has the ability to meet people professionally. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing. You enjoy speaking in front of groups and can convey information and knowledge in a pedagogical and inspiring manner. You thrive in a team-oriented work environment and want to contribute to maintaining high quality and service levels in our operations. **About the Social Administration** As part of Region Gotland, we at the social administration work with social interventions such as counseling, support, and treatment. Our areas of operation include social services, home healthcare, elderly care, and support for individuals with disabilities across Gotland. Around the clock, we meet people of all ages and with various needs: children, families, adults, and the elderly. Together, we enable good conditions for care, support, and services throughout life. **About Region Gotland** Region Gotland is not only Gotland's largest employer; we are also the only region in Sweden that combines municipal, health, and medical responsibilities with regional development in a single organization. This, along with our island location, creates conditions for good collaboration across our areas of operation. We have over 7,000 employees. Together, we work towards a sustainable, inclusive, and thriving community for everyone who visits, lives, and works in Gotland. We are proactive in creating a safe and sustainable development across the island. Gotland is a fantastic place to live, with a rich cultural life, unspoiled nature, and a creative entrepreneurial spirit.
