What does the job as a maintenance mechanic involve?
In this role, you will work as a mechanic, where you have an important part in preventing and ensuring that maintenance and operational safety requirements for our machines are met.
This will require you to put internal customers first. You will be part of a team of 23 competent employees working in the areas of mechanics, electrical/automation, and work in large, open, and orderly facilities in Lund.
Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost are keywords within our production system ALPS and form the foundation of our production. In ALPS, you will be part of the important work of improvements, 5S, and standardized work methods. It is therefore of utmost importance that you are interested in developing both yourself and our operations.
The position is a permanent employment, and you will work a 2-shift variant, where on-call work may occur during nights and weekends.
More specifically, you will work with:
* Preventive maintenance and improvements on existing production equipment
* Troubleshooting machines during urgent cases
* Ordering spare parts
* Contacting subcontractors
* Solving tasks as they arise and reporting in maintenance systems
Who are we looking for?
As a person, you are a team player, it comes naturally to you to work in a group, and you have the ability to adapt for the group's benefit. You are not afraid to drive your own projects to solve a task. You are humble, responsible, thorough, customer-focused, and thrive in an environment with many contact points.
We prefer that you have:
• High school education focused on mechanics/hydraulics, or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge as a maintenance technician
• Knowledge of machine processing such as turning, milling, drilling. Experience in welding and PLC is meritorious
• Previous similar experience from previous jobs/interest
What can Alfa Laval offer you?
The increased interest in energy-saving products makes the demand for Alfa Laval's plate heat exchangers grow. Therefore, Alfa Laval's factory in Lund is being expanded to double its size, from 35,000 to 65,000 square meters. This is the company's largest investment in Lund since 1978. Today, around 1,300 people work at Alfa Laval in Lund, of which 530 are in the factory. The factory expansion is expected to create an additional 100 jobs.
