**Description**
The Activity House Pangea is a meeting place for residents of Timrå of all ages.
Here, there are opportunities for community, learning, and development in areas such as culture and creativity, sports, and health. Timrå Municipality operates an activity house for the entire municipality, focusing primarily on children, youth, and seniors. We offer open activities for elementary and middle school students as well as various types of activities for seniors. We also conduct some outreach activities. Additionally, we host over 30 associations of various kinds each week that run diverse and varied activities in the premises. Furthermore, we organize many different public events and family activities in both culture and sports. The Activity House is open Tuesday to Saturday.
We are looking for someone who is independent, has a low-arousal approach, and has good experience working with children and youth in an active work environment. Previous experience in planning, conducting, and evaluating activities in sports or culture is an advantage. The position includes work in the afternoons/evenings and on weekends.
**Responsibilities**
We are seeking an activity leader who can primarily work afternoons, evenings, and weekends. You will ensure that our visitors feel safe and welcome in our facilities. You will be responsible for independently planning and implementing various activities for our children and youth groups. Two Saturdays a month and during school breaks, you will take care of the Activity House's visitors and conduct, together with other staff, holiday activities for children and youth as well as for other citizens of the municipality.
**Qualifications**
We expect you to have high social competence and a low-arousal approach. You should have a good ability to communicate with children and youth, as well as a strong ability to articulate yourself in both speech and writing. We prefer candidates with broad experience in sports or culture and experience working with children and youth in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. We would like you to have some form of sports or educational training, such as sports leadership training, leisure leader training, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You should have a valid driver's license (B category).
**Conditions**
A valid extract from the criminal record for work with children and youth in schools is a prerequisite for employment.
The position is a 75% employment and may be filled before the application period has ended.
