Activity Leader with Care Work – Kvarngården

Do you want to create meaningful days for the elderly – through activities, community, and a warm approach? We are now looking for an activity leader with caregiving responsibilities for Kvarngården elderly care home. In the elderly care sector of Vetlanda Municipality, we work for Esther's best – always focusing on the user and how we can enhance their safety and independence. Kvarngården is located near Kvarndammen, with forests and walking paths right next to it. There are four departments with their own kitchens and shared spaces for social interaction. Outdoor areas and balconies allow our residents to easily access fresh air and enjoy the surroundings. The position is a combined role where you will work approximately 40 percent as an activity leader and 40 percent in caregiving. In the caregiving part, you will be part of department Eken, which focuses on dementia and cognitive impairment. As an activity leader, you will plan and lead activities both individually and in groups – always based on what interests and engages the residents. Together with colleagues, you will create variety, security, and participation in daily life. Your responsibilities include, among others: • Planning and implementing activities that create joy, community, and meaning • Activating both in groups and individually based on the elderly's wishes • Collaborating closely with care staff and other activity leaders in the municipality • Coordinating with associations, volunteers, and other stakeholders in the local area • Seeking materials and resources needed to develop activities We are looking for someone who is confident, creative, and attentive, with the ability to inspire and create activities that add a special touch to daily life. You find it easy to meet people with respect and warmth, creating a positive atmosphere around you. You thrive in a role where you both lead and motivate groups and work closely with colleagues, while also taking responsibility and working independently when needed.
