Do you want to be a part of my wonderful assistant team?
I am a happy and active 33-year-old guy. I go to gymnastics, swimming, and bowling once a week. On weekends, I enjoy boating and going to the cinema and museums. In the winter, I ski and skate. At home, I usually relax with my iPad or play fun games on my PS4 while listening to music.
I live in my own apartment in central Stockholm and need assistance with most daily tasks: cooking, cleaning, laundry, showering, shopping, etc. During the day, I attend a daily activity program. I have autism and an intellectual disability. I communicate with pictures and a few words.
I am looking for a reliable and dedicated personal assistant. You should be able to remain calm in stressful situations and be responsive to my needs and communication style. It is desirable that you can take initiative when needed and that you enjoy working independently but also with others, as I sometimes require double assistance.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism is an asset but not a requirement.
- If you are a good swimmer, enjoy skiing, and can join me for winter and autumn camps in Åre or perhaps a sunny holiday in Rhodes, that would be great but not necessary.
- Personal suitability is the most important factor.
You will receive an introduction from another experienced assistant and learn how I function. There is also the possibility for supervision, further training, and wellness initiatives.
Position: This is a part-time employment with fixed shifts during evenings, nights (on-call), and weekends, with the possibility of extra shifts as needed.
