About this role

Your tasks The Prosecutor's Office is seeking someone who wants a central role in crime fighting. As a prosecutor, you will apply law in theory and practice with significant personal responsibility and in collaboration with others. As a prosecutorial intern, you will work with all aspects of ongoing criminal cases at a public prosecutor's office. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on whether to prosecute, and represent the office in court. Your qualities and qualifications We are looking for a Swedish citizen with a Nordic law degree. Upon starting as a prosecutorial intern, you must also be certified as a clerk by a district court or administrative court. As a person, we want you to: - Have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law - Be legally skilled - Have the ability to collaborate and lead others - Be proactive, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions - Be stable and possess good judgment - Have good analytical skills and ability for critical thinking - Exhibit good communication skills. We place great importance on personal suitability. It is advantageous if, in addition to your clerk certification, you have experience in relevant qualified legal work. Admission process During the time as a prosecutorial intern, you will have a fixed-term employment of 9-12 months. After that, a permanent position will follow. Before offering employment, the Prosecutor's Office may conduct a background check in the suspect registry and criminal record registry. The background check will be performed on the final candidate. Testing is part of the recruitment process. The Prosecutor's Office is an emergency authority. Upon employment, you may be assigned to a wartime position at the Prosecutor's Office.
