AKG Sweden is seeking an Employment Consultant for value-creating assignments - Steps to Work!

Steps to Work (STA) is a valuable and qualitative service procured by the Public Employment Service, with the ultimate goal of identifying resources and support needs in a cohesive process, as well as strengthening and developing participants with the aim of starting a job or education.
The target group is outside the labor market for various reasons and requires tailored job preparation measures to achieve self-sufficiency.

Your main task will be to ensure that participants in the assignment increase their activity levels and thus achieve the service's goal of moving closer to a job or education.
Responsibilities:
• Scheduling and planning work with participants
• Conducting competency assessments to highlight participants' skills, conditions, and interests related to the labor market
• Providing support during activity execution
• Coaching and supporting in the assignment and on real job sites
• Varying activities and support based on participants' needs, focusing on their background, conditions, and needs related to their target profession
• Through lectures and individual conversations, addressing various self-empowerment areas
• Responsible for follow-ups at participants' work trial sites
• Ensuring that the jointly set goals after each part of the service are followed up and documented
• Collaborating with colleagues such as licensed occupational therapists, study and career counselors, and language support
• Engaging in collaboration and dialogue with the Public Employment Service at the local level
To succeed in your role, we believe you need a broad experience base in the areas mentioned above and access to a solid toolbox from which to draw knowledge and methods.
You will be responsible for our reporting to the client, so a strong aptitude for documentation will facilitate your work. The assignment involves many contacts within and outside the organization, requiring you to easily establish trusting relationships with people.

Basic Competence Requirements:
• At least 2 years of full-time higher education or vocational training in sociology, behavioral science, pedagogy, or medicine
• 1 year of experience, at least part-time, in individual or group guidance/coaching of individuals with mental or physical health issues or disabilities within the last 3 years.
Employment Conditions:
• Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period
• Full-time position
• Individual salary setting
• Start date to be agreed upon
