The Traffic Office is responsible for maintaining and developing Stockholm's public spaces to ensure they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. Welcome to us The Street Operations unit is part of the Urban Environment Department, which consists of approximately 100 employees. The department is responsible for the urban environment on streets, squares, and parks, aiming to create an attractive, safe, and secure environment for our residents. The Street Operations unit currently manages the office's 14 operational agreements for street cleaning and winter road maintenance for the city's streets, bike paths, sidewalks, and squares. We currently consist of 14 employees who perform important work directly connected to the daily lives of citizens. Your role In the role of Business Manager, you will lead the unit's systematic contract follow-up. You will support your colleagues with a wide variety of contract issues, and when escalation is needed, you will represent the Traffic Office in the unit's contract dialogues with contracted entrepreneurs, with support from the department's lawyer or the City Attorneys. You will play a leading role throughout the lifecycle of the unit's agreements related to street cleaning and winter road maintenance, from procurement to startup, management, and termination of agreements together with your colleagues in the unit. You will work on interpreting, negotiating, setting requirements, drafting, and developing contracts, with the aim of managing the budget of approximately 400 million SEK annually that the unit has been allocated by our elected politicians in Stockholm City. Furthermore, you will develop routines and working methods and guide your colleagues regarding the application of applicable agreements, decisions based on local conditions, and political governance. You will write service statements and respond to referrals. Together with colleagues, you will work on operational and contract development across the department through good collaboration both internally and externally with the city's contracting entrepreneurs. You will also drive your own projects within the operational area. Your competence and experience To succeed in the role of Business Manager, you need to have: •    a relevant university degree for the position •    several years of experience in contract management •    experience in leading, driving change, and development work •    work experience in public procurement, e.g., from the client side or as a contractor •    good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written It is advantageous if you also have: •    Knowledge of public law, AFF, construction law AB 04, and ABT 06 •    experience working in or for public administration •    experience in monitoring through KPIs and data analysis in Excel To succeed in this role, it is important that you act commercially, drive your work forward by planning and prioritizing effectively. It is also important that you can handle issues at a detailed level while still considering the bigger picture and the best interests of the organization in your actions and decisions.
