DUTIES
Together with our other coordinator, you will play a significant role in coordinating and administering the case process for the municipal council, municipal board, committees, and companies. You will form a natural link between officials, elected representatives, and citizens, and be responsible for developing, planning, and quality assuring our routines and processes.
Daily work includes, among other things:
• Investigation work within the department's operations
• Preparing meeting invitations
• Minute-taking and expedition of decisions
• Creating, coordinating, and distributing decision-making documentation
• Diarization and archiving
• Administrative support for officials and elected representatives
• Internal and external contacts related to political processes
Work in connection with elections and assignments within the municipality's emergency management organization are also part of the role.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have completed an academic education focused on public administration, political science, law, or another relevant education, along with work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Experience in committee administration or other qualified administrative work within a politically governed organization is meritorious.
We are seeking someone with strong communication skills, as the position involves numerous contacts with politicians, employees, and citizens. The work requires good collaboration abilities, high service-mindedness, and a well-developed sense of order.
Personally, we prefer someone who can work efficiently and organized. You should enjoy rapid work pace changes and be stimulated by the complexity and variation that work in a smaller municipality offers.

Some positions within Tjörn municipality require a criminal record extract and/or a security clearance. For all positions within the social services department, an acceptable police criminal record extract must be presented.
