The Department of Education and Educational Profession is the program department for the Primary Teacher Education Program with specializations in Leisure-time Centers, Preschool Class, and Grades 1-3 as well as Grades 4-6, Complementary Teacher Education (KPU) for future teachers for Grades 7-9 and high school, as well as ULV and VAL. We are responsible for Master's programs in Didactics and Education for Sustainable Development. The Department of Education and Educational Profession is centrally located in Gothenburg and has approximately 120 employees and 1,000 students. The department is organized into six divisions, where the administrative division, led by an administrative manager, consists of 24 employees in the areas of finance, human resources, study administration, academic advising, and communication.
We are now seeking an Administrative Manager.
**Responsibilities**
As the Administrative Manager, you will have personnel responsibility for the administrative staff. You will be responsible for leading and developing the department's operational support. The tasks include, among other things, managing staff, conducting development and salary conversations, addressing workplace environment issues, rehabilitation discussions, and recruitment. You will also work with the pro-dean on local matters. You will be part of the department's management team and a network within the Faculty of Education.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for a natural leader with a genuine interest in organizational and operational development. As the Administrative Manager, you will, together with other key administrative functions, ensure continuity and stability in a management group that, in accordance with given terms, changes at a university.
**Requirements**
- University degree in public administration
- Several years of experience in a supervisory position
- Experience in applying laws, regulations, and governing documents within the higher education sector
- Experience in management and organizational development
- Excellent ability to express oneself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
