The region consists of the four northernmost counties in Sweden and is organized into four police districts: Jämtland, Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and Västernorrland, which together are divided into 12 local police districts. Norrbotten Police District is divided into four local police districts: Luleå/Boden, Northern Lapland, Piteå/Älvdal, and Eastern Norrbotten. At the district level, there is also an investigation section, intervention group, and dog unit. Additionally, there is a police district office. The Luleå/Boden Local Police District is part of the Norrbotten Police District. Within the local police district, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, and support and service. The Luleå/Boden Local Police District, Support and Service, is now seeking an administrator for the police service office in Luleå. DUTIES Employees at the police service office are the public face and often the first point of contact - an important interface. The operation is both an exercise of public authority and a service function with accessibility for both external and internal service. Serving as an administrator at the police service office is a significant work in strengthening trust in police operations by demonstrating commitment, quality, and security in case handling combined with efficiency and pleasant customer interactions. As an administrator at the police service office, you will have an important role within the police service mandate. Primary responsibilities: • Process applications and issuance of passports and national ID cards • Receive and register public reports • Handle lost and found items • Receive permit documents, weapon submissions, parking ticket disputes, requests for public documents, and criminal record extracts • Communication with internal and external actors, through both physical meetings and various communication channels, including email, phone, and social media • Collaboration both internally within the police authority and externally with other agencies and social actors Additional tasks may arise as the flow of cases varies significantly. You will primarily be based in Luleå. Other locations may temporarily be relevant for service with Luleå as the starting point. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for those who have: • High school diploma or equivalent knowledge acquired through studies • At least 6 months of current work experience in service with numerous external direct personal contacts, as deemed relevant by the employer • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both verbal and written • Good computer skills and ability to learn new IT systems • Class B driver's license It is meritorious if you also: • Have current experience working in a reception or similar, as deemed relevant by the employer • Have at least 6 months of current administrative work experience, as deemed relevant by the employer • Have current and relevant experience in report taking within the justice system or other agency • Knowledge of law or legal science acquired through education or work • Have current experience working with the police, another agency, or public administration, as deemed relevant by the employer • Have knowledge/skills in relevant police data systems such as RES, Durtvå, lost and found, PÄR, etc. • Master additional languages deemed relevant by the employer beyond Swedish and English, where you can use the language in your professional practice Personal Qualities As a reception administrator, there are demands for engagement, availability, and efficiency.
