The Department of Oral Diagnostics and Surgery provides foundational education in oral biomedicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental radiology, and orofacial medicine. We are now seeking a Lecturer in Dental Radiology for the Department of Odontology. We are looking for a PhD dentist who can participate in the education of dental students, dental hygiene students, and KUT in dental radiology. We also provide education at the specialist level and have a close collaboration with the specialist clinic at the University Dental Care, where the clinical skills training is conducted. The department's research focuses on oral diagnostics, orofacial medicine, and surgery. Your Role We are looking for a specialist in dental radiology who is a PhD dentist with experience in dental radiology. This is a permanent part-time position. The role includes clinical work across the entire spectrum of radiology. In addition to clinical work, it also involves conducting further education and consultation services as well as clinically supervising our resident dentists. There are excellent opportunities to engage in research and development work, to develop leadership skills, and to collaborate both nationally and internationally. Responsibilities - Work at the specialist clinic and contribute to the development of the operations - Supervise resident dentists in dental radiology - Participate in the foundational education for dentists, dental hygienists, and KUT in dental radiology and related subjects - Independently lead and help develop rounds - Drive research activities at various levels - Participate in course activities at the continuing education level Who Are You? To be eligible for the position of lecturer, you must demonstrate pedagogical skills and have obtained a doctoral degree or possess equivalent scientific competence or other professional skills relevant to the subject matter of the position and the tasks included in the employment. Additionally, you must have completed a higher education pedagogical course of three weeks in accordance with SUHF's recommendations for qualifying higher education pedagogical training. If such training is lacking at the time of employment, you must complete it within the first two years of the employment. Requirements: - Specialist dentist in dental radiology with a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare - PhD dentist - Experience in teaching and supervising in dental radiology - Research in oral radiology - Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Meritorious: - Experience in hospital-based dental radiology - Participation in course activities at the continuing education level - Strong pedagogical skills and pedagogical training We are looking for someone with high radiological competence to independently serve at the specialist clinic. You have strong pedagogical abilities and an interest in participating in the development and improvement of the education provided at the department. Research interest is valuable as we strive to develop and increase our research activities. Since the position includes multiple assignments, we work collaboratively for an efficient approach with prioritization of tasks. We seek a person who has the ability to see the big picture and can focus their efforts based on the needs of the operations and to ensure the subject group functions well.
