Konstfack is Sweden's largest art college for art, design, and crafts. Since 1844, we have educated various professional groups in these fields, as well as art and craft teachers. Konstfack has four departments: IBIS, Art, DIV, and KHV. Within the KHV department, where the lecturer position is located, three three-year bachelor's programs (Ceramics and Glass, Jewelry and Corpus, and Textiles) are offered, along with the two-year CRAFT! master's program and the standalone one-year Research Lab course.
The lecturer in crafts specializing in glass will primarily teach courses in the bachelor's program while supervising students at all levels, both practically and artistically.
In our programs, we offer a breadth of practices and methods, where students have access to well-equipped workshops and instruction led by teachers with high artistic competence. We aim to provide our students with tools to contribute to a sustainable society where glass has a natural place through material knowledge, techniques, and artistic design. Primary Responsibilities:
• Student supervision
• Course responsibility, planning, teaching, and examination in the Ceramics and Glass bachelor's program
• Workshop management of glass workshops
• Some machine-technical work in the department's glass workshops
• Collaborate with colleagues on planning and pedagogical and subject development in ceramics and glass
• Actively participate in departmental work
• Participate in Konstfack's overall work, such as being a member/alternate in decision-making bodies or representative in various working groups
• Responsibilities include administration, development time, and the opportunity to apply for research time during employment
Employment:
The position is 50% of full-time for a maximum of five years with the possibility of renewed employment for an additional five years. Desired start date is January 19, 2026. Working time is located at Konstfack with multiple occasions each work week. Remote work from abroad is not possible. In Sweden, there is a maintenance requirement for those seeking work permits.
