About the position In the municipalities of Örebro County, nursing students, occupational therapy students, and students from the district nursing program as well as the specialist education in healthcare for children and young people are welcomed from Örebro University. The municipalities in the county receive a large number of students several times each term within various municipal operations, particularly in residential care, support for individuals with disabilities, home healthcare, and preventive services, as well as within the medical interventions of student health services. The position of Adjunct Clinical Lecturer means that you will have a clinical role in one of the municipalities in Örebro County as the main part of your job, and you will be adjunct to Örebro University for the remaining part of your position. As an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer, you are the link between Örebro University and the municipalities of Örebro County. Examples of responsibilities: • Communicate with supervisors and students prior to practice-based education • Work to promote student learning during practical placements through reflection and participate in assessment discussions • Collaborate and engage in networks both within the municipalities and the university to disseminate knowledge • Support supervisors in municipal operations, hold meetings for student coordinators and supervisors • Be open to new supervisory methods and implement new working methods to improve quality during practical placements About the workplace The regional AKA organization started on September 1, 2024, and consists of Adjunct Clinical Lecturers from all municipalities in Örebro County. As an AKA, you have your primary employment in one municipality but can work as an AKA in another municipality. Primarily, you work based on your main employment, but the goal is to increase collaboration to ensure a consistent and high quality of practical placements in the municipalities of the county, which may mean that you also carry out your AKA duties in another municipality. The adjunct position is for a period of up to 3 years and is scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. During the holiday period, you will only work clinically. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in education, pedagogy, and supervision. You should be organizationally inclined and confident in your professional role within municipal operations. You are a person who takes responsibility for your work and initiates the further development of working methods with a focus on students. You have a strong ability to independently plan and execute your duties as an AKA, and you enjoy having multiple parallel tasks. A good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing, as well as a good ability to handle digital systems, is required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: • Licensed nurse with specialist training in elderly care, psychiatric nursing, or as a district nurse • Experience in municipal healthcare • B driver's license Meritorious: • Experience in the role of AKA • Supervisor training • Courses in the pedagogical field • Well-acquainted with laws, guidelines, and governing documents within healthcare and academic education Scope and start date Employment type: fixed-term, the adjunct position is for a period of up to 3 years Employment rate: 25-49% Start date: November 1 or by agreement Number of positions: multiple Additional information The AKA role may be relevant for existing employees as well as for new hires as a specialist nurse with the role of AKA. New hires will be conducted according to the respective municipality's recruitment procedures. The recruitment process for the AKA role will be carried out jointly with Örebro University. The adjunct process is managed by the host municipality. During the recruitment process, there may be a verification of credentials through the National Board of Health and Welfare as well as a check with the Health and Social Care Inspectorate.
