Your Mission as AC Economist
Svevia is now seeking an engaged AC Economist for our Industry Division, Northern Paving Department, located in Västerås or Örebro.
As an AC Economist, you'll play a central role in supporting work managers and site managers regarding project follow-up and financial management. You'll be responsible for monitoring, analysis, and reporting within the AC area and will be a key person in ensuring high-quality economic work that meets established timelines. You'll be part of the AC area's management group and work closely with the department controller and other AC economists at Svevia. Together, you'll create structure and understanding of how operational and financial aspects interconnect.
You'll report to the Chief Controller, and the position is based at our office in Västerås or Örebro.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ongoing financial work including closing accounts, monthly reporting, forecasts, and project controlling
• Administering project setup and closure
• Supporting and coaching managers on financial matters
• Training in financial processes and tools
• Active participation in management group work within your AC area
• Close collaboration with AC area administrators, other AC economists, and department controller
• Contributing to financial management development in your AC area

Required Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in economics
• 1-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency with digital tools and modern technologies
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Valid driver's license (B-class)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in construction/infrastructure or manufacturing industries
• Worked with progressive profit recognition/project accounting
• Previous experience with financial systems
The position is a full-time, permanent employment with start date by agreement.
