Hello, I am a 20-year-old guy who wants to be involved where things are happening, and I am now looking for you to work 95% with me. The workplace is wherever I am, which can mean at my home, with me at school, or at various locations around my home. I have been granted assistance around the clock, so your shifts will be distributed between approximately 08:00-15:30, 15:30-21:00, and awake night shifts from 21:00-08:00. You will work every other weekend on a rotating schedule. My interests include playing video games, music, bowling, watching hockey, my own YouTube channel, woodworking, and observing cool machines. You will need to assist me when I want to help my family with various gardening tasks, so it is a big plus if you also enjoy that. I like being outdoors in all kinds of weather. I live with my family and our dog in a villa in Linköping. As a personal assistant in my home, you will help with tasks such as dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, transfers, and being my extended arm to assist where my disability sets limits. Your role also includes planning and structuring my daily life together with me to help me become as independent as possible. You will also manage medications, and it is important to maintain constant awareness of my general condition as I also have diabetes. Travel may occur as my family also has a house in Gotland, which I enjoy visiting. I am looking for someone who: - Is tolerant of pets, as we have a dog in the family - Has good physical fitness, as transfers are part of the job - Is passionate about their work and wants to make a difference for another person - Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written - Has experience working as a personal assistant, preferably with young people! - Sees this work as a long-term commitment - Has a strong engagement for their work - Can accompany on trips, for example, to Gotland - It is a significant plus if you have experience with diabetes; if not, we will provide training. The role of personal assistant requires a high ability to build good relationships and take on significant responsibility. It is important for our client’s parents to feel secure when you are caring for their young person. Therefore, it is advantageous if you have experience working with children, youth, or in healthcare. We also consider it a merit if you have experience with low-arousal approaches.
