Read more on the university's website about being employed at Lund University: https://www.lu.se/om-universitetet/jobba-hos-oss **Job Responsibilities** As a host, you are the museum's face to the public and ensure that all our visitors receive the best possible service. You are responsible for the safety of visitors and the artwork, staffing the entrance and ticket office, conducting introductions and tours, and welcoming various visitor groups. You play a vital role in the visitor's experience and represent high-level hospitality. **Eligibility** Only those who are admitted to undergraduate or graduate education may be employed as a teaching assistant. (Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Act) **Qualifications** We are looking for a student with a strong interest in modern and contemporary art. You speak Swedish and English and feel comfortable conducting guided tours and engaging with visitors in these languages. The following is required for the position: - Admission notice and/or registration certificate from a course or program at Lund University for the spring semester of 2026. Studies can be full-time or part-time, on-site or remote. - At least one semester (30 credits) of university studies in art history, artistic education, or another related subject deemed relevant by the employer. Alternatively, an admission notice to a corresponding course for the spring semester of 2026. - Documented experience in service and customer interaction. - Good verbal communication skills in Swedish and English. The following are advantageous for the position: - Additional language skills beyond Swedish and English. - Knowledge of the museum's collection. - Knowledge of the museum's focus areas: creative process and public art. - Experience in conducting guided tours or other oral presentations in front of an audience. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as motivation, initiative, and teamwork skills. You enjoy being a team player in a passionate group, have a responsive and flexible approach to engagement, and are patient and clear. You take responsibility for your tasks and can work in a structured and independent manner, even in stressful situations. **Additional Information** We are seeking 4–8 teaching assistants for positions ranging from 10–20% of full-time for a fixed-term employment of up to one year, starting on January 12, 2026, or by agreement. Working hours are irregular, with an average weekly working time of 38 hours for full-time, regulated by local collective agreements. Work is scheduled during the day, in the evening, and on weekends. Half of the working hours will be scheduled every third weekend. The remaining hours will be scheduled according to the needs of the operation, requiring flexibility. There is an opportunity to accept extra shifts as needed, which is encouraged. The university applies individual salary setting.
