Hand in Hand Cooperative is a member-governed organization founded in 1995 for people with assistance rights. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency/municipality to personnel issues related to personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs that exist, as you become an opportunity for another person, enabling them to live their life like everyone else.
We are seeking personal assistants for a 14-year-old boy with autism, ADHD, and an intellectual disability. As assistance is new to the boy, you will be entering at an early stage and have a great opportunity to help establish a good standard of assistance. He lives with his family in Tyringe and needs supervision during all waking hours, as well as support in daily activities to ensure things are done well. He is a very active boy who enjoys being active. He needs to have privacy while under supervision. He is very creative and has a great interest in creative activities such as drawing, baking, playing with clay, building things with paper or wood. He also enjoys stories, watching movies, and is interested in flags.
We are now looking for someone interested in working evening shifts. The position is 28.5%. Work shifts are scheduled between 5:00 PM-7:30 PM on weekdays. We are seeking someone who is also willing to work as a temporary hourly substitute when our regular staff is sick or needs time off.
Previous experience with low-affective approach is meritorious.
We will continuously invite candidates for interviews. We will only contact candidates who are relevant for an interview.
