Welcome to Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, two school units with approximately 45 and 14 students, respectively, located in villages on the outskirts of Älvsbyn municipality. The schools offer fantastic learning environments, along with their own sports halls, ski trails, football fields, and amazing nature.
Job Responsibilities
As a teacher in the after-school program at Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the compensatory and complementary tasks of the after-school program. In your teaching, you will focus on language and knowledge-developing approaches, value-based issues, joy of movement, and the democratic mission, as well as creating learning environments that are challenging, stimulating, and encourage students' curiosity and learning.
At Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you will have the opportunity to help develop our after-school program. You will be part of the after-school team that meets weekly to collegially plan, follow up, and develop quality work towards increased goal achievement.
During school days, you will collaborate with preschool and primary school classes in close cooperation with teaching teachers. You will also be part of a larger team in the village areas and have joint meetings with the school's teaching staff to jointly drive learning processes and create equality for children in rural areas.
At Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you will have good conditions for planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching.
Qualifications
We are seeking licensed teachers specializing in after-school programs or licensed after-school pedagogues with a good understanding of the after-school program's governing documents. You should be positive, engaged, flexible, and clear in your leadership. As a teacher at Vidselskolan and Vistträskskolan, you need to be responsible and able to work both independently and in teams. It is important that you can establish good relationships with both students and guardians. Experience and knowledge of working with children with special needs is meritorious. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
We offer a permanent full-time position (100%) with immediate start. We may apply a probationary period for new recruitment.
A police record extract must be shown no later than the start of employment.
