About this role

Security Company Sea constitutes the marine part of the joint military unit 13th Security Battalion. 13th Security Battalion is an operational security unit that leads and is part of the Joint Counter Intelligence Task Group. Security Company Sea is stationed at the Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment, Amf 4, in Gothenburg. Our Workplace The work pace is periodically high, and you are expected to handle multiple tasks in parallel and take significant personal responsibility as you learn the job. You will periodically have readiness for national operations. We offer driven colleagues and a developing environment within one of the Swedish Armed Forces' most cutting-edge and prioritized units. Main Tasks You will begin your service at the company with a basic course spanning approximately 9 months. After an initial phase focused on patrol service, you will complete position training and then specialize as a security intelligence soldier. During the basic course, you will be trained in various reconnaissance methods, person-based intelligence gathering, and technical sensors. Boat commanders undergo a similar basic course as others but are simultaneously trained to operate the company's smaller fast vessels in all weather conditions, around the clock. After completing the basic course, you will be placed in one of two operational platoons where you will receive in-depth training, specialization, and further position-specific education. When not on mission, you will exercise within your unit, drive the development of your function, and continue your education. In your application, you can choose which position you are interested in - Security Intelligence Soldier or Boat Commander. You can choose both. Example Positions for Security Intelligence: - RPAS Operator - Military Police - Sniper - Dog Handler - Medic Requirements: - Swedish citizenship - Completed military basic training with approved results - B Driver's License - Approved high school education - No dog allergies - Swimming ability - For boat commanders: approved medical examination for maritime personnel Qualifying Qualifications: - Previous service in similar units - Technical competence - Nautical education - Military Police training - Training/experience in PBI/HUMINT - Military driving permits - Experience working with classified information Personal Characteristics You have high social skills and can adapt to various environments. You are proactive, take personal responsibility, and are curious. We also seek good collaboration skills, maturity, and strong work capacity. To best accomplish our tasks, we are very positive about applicants from all parts of the Swedish Armed Forces. You will complete supplementary tests in weeks 611 or 612. Tests will be conducted Friday to Sunday in the Gothenburg area. Example Physical Tests: - Running - Cognitive tests - Swimming/Rescue - Work sample The supplementary tests are mentally and physically demanding, so you should already begin preparing by training comprehensively and staying healthy and injury-free.
