The Sámi School Board is a government authority with its office located in Jåhkåmåhkke, which includes a school principal, controllers, HR personnel, and administrators. The Sámi school is an educational form equivalent to primary school, providing instruction from preschool to grade 6. The foundation of the education is based on Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for Sámi schools. The Sámi School Board also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipalities. The Sámi School Board has activities in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna. The Sámi School Board organizes distance education in the Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education. JOB DESCRIPTION Teacher in After-School Care 50% / Substitute Position (House Substitute) 50% at the Sámi School in Gällivare Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in accordance with the primary school’s governing documents and from the Sámi perspective, both individually and in teams. You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with other staff at the school. Participate in other activities at the after-school care together with the staff. QUALIFICATIONS You should be able to work in preschool, after-school care, school, and kitchen as a substitute. You are proficient in Sámi, both orally and in writing, and have knowledge of Sámi culture and traditions. You must have a good ability to be attentive to our students' needs, interests, and wishes. We expect you to be flexible. You have a positive view of people and the ability to create good relationships, as well as the ability to prevent and resolve any conflicts with students. You should have good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and parents. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
