The Sámi School Board is a government authority with its office located in Jåhkåmåhkke, consisting of a school principal, controllers, HR personnel, and administrators.
The Sámi school is an educational form equivalent to primary school, providing instruction from preschool to grade 6. The foundation of the teaching is based on Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for Sámi schools. The Sámi School Board also operates preschool services in agreement with the respective municipalities. The Sámi School Board has activities in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.
The Sámi School Board organizes distance education in the Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in accordance with the school's governing documents and from a Sámi perspective, both individually and in collaboration with work teams.
You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with other staff at the school.
Collaborate with the school's personnel on other tasks within the school.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Teaching degree with a valid teaching license.
Proficiency in Northern Sámi, both spoken and written.
A positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships, as well as the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts.
You are meticulous, flexible, and responsive to the needs of students, and you enjoy working with children and youth.
We are looking for someone with documented strong collaboration skills.
