Do you want to make a difference for our community residents? We are now seeking an engaged Senior Social Worker for Adults in our government department! The authority division of the Individual and Family Care consists of approximately 35 employees and is responsible for authority exercise in the areas of children and youth, contractors, LSS, elderly care, social psychiatry, economic assistance, harmful use – and addiction, as well as domestic violence. The unit is organized into three groups: Children and Youth/Foster Homes, Care/LSS, and Adults. Each group has a Senior Social Worker who provides close support in daily operations. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting and leading the social workers in your group in daily case-related work, such as case reviews, method support, and advice in the areas of economic assistance, social psychiatry, harmful use and addiction, and domestic violence. You will lead and distribute tasks, introduce new employees to case-related work, represent the board in administrative courts, and have extended delegation rights. You will also be responsible for conducting the group’s weekly meetings and ensuring that there is a functioning structure. You will actively engage in structural collaboration with partners and keep yourself updated on jurisprudence and development areas. You will work closely with other Senior Social Workers in Care/LSS and Children & Youth, as well as with unit managers. Together with development leaders, you will also work to develop and update the support materials necessary for conducting efficient, equitable, and legally secure processing. You will also be responsible for implementing new working methods. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience in municipality-operated social services within the Adult field, preferably in a leadership role. Experience in various areas is seen as an advantage, but we particularly value knowledge in adult addiction and social psychiatry. You are used to working in a rapidly changing daily environment and maintain a professional approach even in challenging situations. We assume that you are skilled in both verbal and written communication, have a supportive attitude, are responsible and organized, excel in engagement and collaboration, and share our system-theoretical view of social work. Previous experience with the operational system Combine is an advantage. Significant emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
