One of our colleagues is retiring, so we are seeking a Chief Social Worker for our committed, competent, and experienced work teams.

Social Psychiatry in the Center consists of two unit managers, five chief social workers, and 33 social workers. We are located together with other support function units in pleasant premises on Första Långgatan. The unit handles cases for adult individuals with mental functional variations who need support.
As a Chief Social Worker, you will lead social workers in their daily work to enable them to perform their assignments. You are responsible for ensuring that social workers operate in accordance with the political mandate and regulations governing our work. You will ensure case management follows the social services process, work to quality assure case handling, and ensure that granted assistance is cost-effective and legally secure. You are part of the unit's management team, working on behalf of the unit manager and expected to contribute to the organization's goal work and development.
An important part of the job is adapting your leadership and methodological support to social workers' needs. You are active in working towards professional collaboration both internally and externally. The role also involves representing the administration in various city contexts and representing the committee in administrative and appellate courts. Support Function Center is characterized by significant positive engagement for those we serve, high knowledge levels, and shared responsibility for a good work environment.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with a social work degree or equivalent education as assessed by the employer. You have experience working with adults with mental functional variations and extensive experience in administrative work under LSS and SoL. Experience in a leadership role and other administrative areas is considered meritorious.
