About the Unit Reception/Adults SoL
We are growing and are therefore seeking an additional Senior Social Worker for our SoL group!
Our unit is divided into two workgroups: Adults SoL, which is responsible for processing cases for adults who require assistance and support according to the Social Services Act (SoL), and Reception, which is responsible for receiving all new cases for the authority within the urban area.
Currently, there are 5 social workers in the reception and 9 social workers in the Adults SoL investigation group. However, we are expanding and plan to enhance our reception with two more social workers.
We are an engaged group that enjoys working together and values collaboration, care, and structure in our daily tasks. There is a strong collegial spirit here, with a desire for mutual development.
The Urban Area Center consists of five administrative units, of which Reception/Adults SoL is one. The units are located together in pleasant facilities at Första Långgatan 21, close to public transport, shops, and the vibrant city. We work in an open office landscape.
Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Social Worker, you will have a leadership and supportive role where you, together with the unit manager and other Senior Social Workers, lead and develop the work within the unit. We strive for close daily methodological support, which requires high availability to assist social workers in swift processes.
Your main tasks include:
- Providing daily methodological support to social workers, ensuring legally secure and quality processing, contributing to structure and stability in the work, participating in and promoting collaboration both internally and externally, and engaging in the unit's development work.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. It is also a requirement that you have extensive experience in exercise of authority within the area of disabilities.
It is advantageous if you have worked as a Senior Social Worker within the disabilities field. If you have also worked with Treserva, SAMSA, and the IBIC module, you will quickly adapt to our work.
Collaboration is important to us and permeates our operations, both in contact with colleagues and external stakeholders. A good ability and interest in cooperation is essential. A positive attitude and good reception skills, where you can listen, understand those you meet, and show respect for your surroundings, are a given. At the same time, it is important that you are calm and methodical with a good ability to structure your daily work.
