At Region Dalarna, you will find meaningful work where you can make a difference. Together, we work towards a sustainable Dalarna with developmental strength in all parts of the county.
As part of our efforts to strengthen healthcare and optimize resource use at Falu Hospital, we aim to create a cohesive pre- and post-operative unit where all patients scheduled for surgery at Central Surgery or ENT Surgery are gathered in one place to ensure high-quality and patient-safe care before and after surgery. This includes patients from the Surgical, Orthopedic, Women's, and Ear Clinics. The current post-operative unit is intended to be part of the new department and is thus included in the project, meaning it will be organizationally distinct from Central Surgery.
In a pre- and post-operative unit, you will work with highly specialized and advanced post-operative care, monitoring, and pain management. Preoperative preparations, treatment, and optimization for various types of surgery are also part of the role. The tasks and pace of work in the pre- and post-operative unit are highly varied, providing in-depth and broad expertise across many areas. The new department will consist of approximately 35 employees from various professions, including nursing assistants and registered nurses.
**First-Line Manager for Our New Pre- and Post-Operative Unit/Department**
**Job Responsibilities**
Do you want to be involved from the very beginning? If the necessary decisions are made, we will create a new department where we are looking for a confident and engaged leader who drives and organizes systematic work aimed at transforming ideas into real value. Are you passionate about leadership, team development, and patient-safe care?
As the first-line manager, you will be the direct supervisor for about 35 employees in the upcoming pre- and post-operative operations at Falu Hospital. You will be an important part of the OpAnIVA clinic's management team, where you, together with the operations manager and other leaders, will drive development forward and create care that is continuously improved for our patients.
You will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing the pre- and post-operative unit regarding finances and operations, as well as promoting a good work environment and safe care through systematic work on workplace safety and patient safety. At the clinic, we support each other in our various assignments and work together for the entire operation.
The new department is planned to be operational by the earliest autumn of 2026, provided that decisions are made.
